Walter Ray Williams joins 900 Global

Williams is the all-time PBA National Tour title holder with 45 victories, the first and only bowler to amass over four million dollars in lifetime earnings, and has won seven PBA majors and 28 regional titles in his 26-year PBA career. Kyle Collins from Evansville IN, bowled his first 300 on Dec. 21 and then bowled his first 800 series on Feb. 26. His games were 289, 277, 259 for an 825!! Both were shot at Franklin Lanes using the Bounty Hunter!

Congrats to AJ Marshall of the Greater Baltimore Bowling Association, for putting together sets of 814 (team), 770 (singles) and 749 (doubles), for a 2333 All Events score, this past weekend at AMF Southdale Lanes. This was the first weekend of the GBBA city tournament, and AJ was using the Break Point Pearl.

Brian Varsho tied the city record with an 856 series using the Bounty Hunter. In the last 3 months, Brian has posted three 800s, two 300s, and a 297, all with the Bounty Hunter at Rose Bowl Lanes in Marshfield WI. On Feb. 18th, he posted 300-278-278 for total of 856, striking 33 out of a possible 36 shots.

Columbian player William Medellin, a resident of Spain, shot 300 and recorded an 854 series in the AECB's National League using a Bounty Hunter.

David Palama rolled the first 10 strikes in consecutive games, posting 254-289-289 for a great 832 series with his Bounty Hunter Pearl.

900 Global Staffer John Young, of Albuquerque NM, finished 2nd at the True Amateur Tournament and pocketed $15,000. John used the Break Out and Bounty Hunter Pearl for the event that was held at the Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas. This is John's largest career cash, and it's quite an accomplishment since he just had a full knee replacement in September of 2009.

Christine Kato Asuncion broke the 4-game classic record at the JANBA (Japanese American National Bowling Assoc) tournament in Vegas. She shot games of 258-257-246-246 with the Bounty Hunter Pearl. Christine went on to win the All Events title with a 3681 16-game pinfall, averaging 230 for the tournament.

David Wheeler rolled his first 300 game in 9 years on the first night out with his new Bounty Hunter Pearl. David recently attended a local pro shop event, which enabled him to try the Bounty Hunter Pearl before purchase. The ball was drilled by Bo Littlefield of Strike Zone Pro Shop in San Antonio TX.

Chris Kidd rolled a 300 with his new Break Out at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio TX on February first, which was also his daughter's eleventh birthday.

The 900 Global sponsored All Air Force Team captured the Active Duty Team Event title and finished second in the Team All Events at the 2010 Armed Forces Championships. This is the team's third Team Event title to go, along with four Team All Events titles and numerous top-three finishes in Singles, Doubles and Individual All-Events since 2005. For the week, the team averaged 220+ per bowler. The equipment of choice for the tournament were the Bounty Hunter, Bounty Hunter Pearl, Break Point Pearl, Break S75 and the Lunatic.

Donnie Benson won the "Active Duty Sweeper" Title at the Military Championships using the Bounty Hunter, shooting 1007 for 4 games and averaging an astounding 251!

Kenton Williams bowled his first 300 game with a Break Point Pearl in the Saturday morning youth league at Don Lowry Lanes in Kokomo, Indiana. His scores were 208, 266, 300 for a total of 774.

Matt Dammann, from Edmonton in Alberta, Canada, bowled a 848 series with a Break Point with scores of 279, 269 and 300. This is a house and city high series.
Matt bowls for Vincennes University, and while home on Christmas break, he was asked to spare in the Wednesday League. The only ball he had at home was his Break Point and his RG spare ball, and he drilled the Break Point in late 2008. The series and perfect game were bowled on lanes 1 and 2 at Ed's Rec Room Bowling Centre.

Chris Collins wins the PBA Tri-Regional Sands Regency Open
900 Global Staffer Chris Collins has won the PBA Tri-Regional Sands Regency Open. This was the 12th Regional Title for Chris and his 4th for 2009. Chris defeated Jesse Buss of Wichita Kansas, 234-212, in the championship match to take home the $2,500 first place prize. Chris averaged 232 on Cheetah for the tournament that was held at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno NV.

900 Global Staffer Helén Johnsson selected as Swedish Bowler of the Year 2009
The Swedish Bowling Federation has selected Helén Johnsson as Swedish Bowler of the Year 2009. The 33 year-old multiple World Championship medalist had another outstanding year, highlighted by a silver medal in All Events in the Womens World Championships in Las Vegas in August.
"The World Championship performance is my best memory from this year. I am really proud of the All Events silver medal", Johnsson stated.
She was very satisfied with a first and second place finish on the Swedish Super Six Tour and also with defending the Swedish national championship for 8-player teams with her club Spader Dam from Helsingborg.

900 Global sponsored The All Air Force Bowling Team at the 2010 Armed Forces Bowling Championship. Superior 900 Global equipment led to the All Air Force Team dominating in the Mens and Womens divisions, as they captured the coveted Mens and Womens Team All-Events titles. Dennis Smeiska posted new lifetime high scores with 900 Global Break. Dennis rolled his first 800 series (809) with games of 233-279-297 on Sept 14th. Then, he recently had his first 300 game on Nov. 17th and rounded out that set with a 232-276 for a nice 808 series. Dennis bowled these great scores at AMF Bowlero in Wauwatosa WI during the Monday night mens league.

Helén Johnsson makes History!
900 Global Staffer Helén Johnsson wins her 2nd Swedish Super Sixxxxxx tour title in Malmoe, Sweden. Helén qualified 3rd and worked up the step ladder, capturing the title with a 255-204 win over former PBA touring pro Tore Torgersen from Norway. Helén used a combination of the Bounty Hunter and Break to combat the PBA Chameleon pattern that was laid down. Helén becomes the first female ever to capture 2 tour titles.
Helén will now look forward to the Super Sixxxxxx Super Star Shoot Out televised finals that will be held in Stockholm on January 6th 2010. She will be the only female competing in that event.

Brian Makan wins Triple Crown with a Break Point Pearl
Brian Makan has taken the meaning of "triple crown" to a new level, snagging all he could at BRC via the Linda Lanes Strike Force Tour on Thanksgiving weekend. Brian bowled "out of his mind" on Friday, winning the Black Friday $27 Beat The Board Singles, shooting a 758. On Saturday, he proceeded to continue his winning streak, taking the field down in the 5-game Tri-Step Progressive. On Sunday, Brian returned with a chance to make Tour history with a triple crown win, and he did, making a total of 3 titles, all in one weekend!
Brian was plus 1002 for 17 games over the weekend, with two 300s, one 299, an 815, and an 801, all bowled with his Break Point Pearl. Great bowling, Brian!
Kyle Jones of Sun City Arizona, rolled his first career 300 with a Bounty Hunter Pearl. Kyle put games together of 257-300-221 for a nice 778 series. Kyle stated: "This ball is so versatile and smooth, I only moved one board all night!"

Missy Bellinder joins 900 Global, fresh off a 3rd place finish in this years US Women’s Open. Missy stated, “I’m really impressed with the 900 Global arsenal of equipment, and look forward to being a part of the 900 Global Team”. Dave Smart, Marketing and Sales for 900 Global, states: “We are extremely pleased to have Missy join our team. The first thing one notices about Missy is her enthusiasm for anything she is involved in, whether it be her bowling, coaching, or career. Her bowling speaks for itself, and has for a number of years. We look forward to having her on our team, both on the lanes and off”.
Missy became the first woman to join the PBA in 2004, and the first to win two PBA Regional Titles. Her bowling resume is extensive, both in the US and International, and her high series of 869 is third highest in women’s history. She was the first woman to bowl a 300 game in tournament competition in Spain, during the European Bowling Tour IV Catalonia Open. Missy is a three time member of Team USA, as well as USBC Bronze level coach.

Joe was bowling at Surfside Lanes in Kenosha, WI during the Thursday night Inner City Major league. Lennis Boersch, of Bowlers Choice in Racine, drilled the ball with a pin down 5 inches to PAP. Joe says: "The ball has outstanding backend reaction. Good midlane, hard off the dry and explodes through the pocket."

Mike Calahan purchased the original Bounty 4 weeks ago, and on 10/23, he bowled a 265, 256, 279 for his first 800 series, at Bandera Superbowl in San Antonio, Texas. The 279 was an 11-in-a-row after messing up in the 1st frame. He told us: "Thanks for making a great ball."

A pair of Washington bowlers claim high average awards for the state using only 900 Global!!!
Mike Obrien finished the 2008-09 season with a 241, leading all sanctioned bowlers, and Dennis Springer finished with a 238, leading all Sr. sanctioned members for the state of Washington. Obrien and Springer both use only 900 Global products, which were drilled by Jeff Miller of Haley's Pro Shop.

AMF Staff member Jason Williams won the PBA Northwest Region Turnwater Lanes Open.
Jason used a variety of balls to combat the tricky Chameleon pattern. He relied heavily on a Clutch, but also used the new Hype Reactive when the lanes started to dry out. A pin-up Clutch (5.5 x 4) during match play on Sunday was the difference maker. "The Clutch let me move way inside and play an area that wasn't seeing a lot of traffic", said Jason who also added: "Playing that deep, I was able to stay around the pocket, make spares and give myself a chance in the 10th." Jason not only collected another regional title, but $2,000 in first place prize money.

900 Global International Representative Martin Larsen helps Team Europe win Weber Cup X
Martin Larsen, a well accomplished bowler from Sweden, had several key wins in the event to seal the deal for the Europeans. Highlights included a 290-194 victory over Jason Couch, a 232-198 victory over Chris Barnes, and a doubles win bowling with Mika Koivuniemi 227-224 over Tim Mack and Tommy Jones. Martin used a Break Point Pearl for the bulk of action, which was held at the Barnsley Metrodome in Barnsley, England in front of 500 spectators. Martin is now set on making a run at the AMF World Cup, which is on November 13-20th in Melaka Malaysia.

Chris Collins took home his 11 Regional Title and $2,500 first place purse this past weekend at the newly opened George Pappas Victory Lanes in Mooresville NC. This is Chris�s 5th title since switching to all Global made products and his 3 title this regional season.
Chris used the AMF Sideways during qualifying to gain the # 1 seed before switching to a Lunatic to go 7-1 in match play, and all games were bowled on the Viper pattern. Chris out averaged his nearest opponent by over 20 pins per game at 223, and he remains on top the South Region points list by over 32,000 points.

Jaime Dahlke rolled 300 with new Bounty Hunter in back to back weeks. Jaime, a pro shop operator inside Lava Lanes in Bend OR, has now rolled a 300 in the same league in consecutive weeks using his new Bounty Hunter. So Jaime now claims 2 shares of the Bounty Hunter Prize Pool: one for bowling the perfect game and one for drilling the ball.

900 Global staffers win 2 PBA Regionals this past weekend. Coast to Coast, Global takes home 2 different titles. Chris Collins won the PBA East Region Forest Hill Lanes Open in Forest Hill MD, and Aaron Pawloski won the PBA West Region Performance Chevrolet Open in Sacramento CA.
Chris qualified 13th out of 140 on Saturday, including a 300 with a Break Point Pearl, before going 7-2 in the championship rounds and taking home a $5,000 payday and another regional title. Aaron went wire to wire by qualifying 1st on Saturday and going 7-1 during match play using a Break S75 to win $2,500 and, more importantly, his first ever PBA Regional title.

Arvai and Richards both claim Divisional wins at Journal Times Championship. As reported earlier, Joe Arvai and Delbert Richards were in the final pairings of the Journal Times Championship, both end up winning their divisions by a wide margin. Arvai won the Mens by 187 pins and Richards won the Senior division by 105 pins. Joe Arvai blistered the competition posting 1970 for the final 8 games which is an average of 246 per game using a Break S75.

900 Global surges to the top of Journal Times Match Game Finals in Racine WI. 3 out of 4 Divisions of the tournament find a 900 Global user at the top.
Super Senior winner Bill Lister has already locked up the victory in his division shooting a 279 in the final round using his Break S75. The Super Seniors bowl 6 games of qualifying and 6 games of position matches for the finals. Congrats Bill!
Best of luck goes to the other remaining leaders as they will vie for titles in their respected divisions later on tonight. Each bowler rolled 8 games of qualifying before advancing to 8 more games of match with 30 bonus pins for a win. Total score with bonus pins after the 16 games will take home the title.
Delbert Richards is the current leader of the Seniors using an S75, Tim Ruelle is sitting 2nd using a Bounty and Joe Arvai Sr is 3rd with a Break Point.
Regular Mens kicked off with a bang as Global Staffer Joe Arvai tied Ron Vokes 300-300 using a Break Point. Joe went on to shoot 813 for the first 3 games and 2078 total for his first 8 games of qualifying bolting him into first place overall.

Pete Honan recorded his third 300 of the year using 900 Global products. Pete was using his Break S75 at Parkway Lanes in Elmwood Park NJ. His other two 300s this season came with the Bounty. Chris used an AMF Villain during qualifying before switching to the Black Break for the finals, and the tournament pattern was the Chameleon.
Chris qualified 4th on Saturday and then went 7-1 during match play and took home the $2,500 first place prize. With the win, Chris now moves into 1st place on the South Region RPI points list.

John Gregovich and John Megna both shot 300 during the same league with the Break Point. Both Johns were bowling with Break Points drilled at Megnas Pro Shop when they each shot perfect games at Bluemound Bowl in suburban Milwaukee.
This makes 3 300s in 2 days with the Break Point out of that pro shop. Way to go, guys!
Trent McGraw, 17 years old, from York Nebraska shot a Sanctioned 814 series on March 14 in the Pepsi Youth Championships held at Westbrook Lanes in Columbus NE. He was using a 15# Break S75 and a Link, which were drilled by Bob Crosby.
Trent came in with a 196 average, and his games were 257,278,279 = 814 and 170,210,248 = 628, for a 240.3 average for the match. Sweet bowling!
Jaime Cullen recorded her 2nd perfect game in a week with the new Break Point. Jaime, a 900 Global staffer bowling out of Milwaukee Wi, added her 2nd 300 in less than a week, last night going 205-300-258=763.
Jaime gets all of her equipment drilled by John Megnas Pro Shop, also out of Milwaukee. Way to go!
Robert McGraw of McKinney TX, shot games of 299, 255 and 214 for a 768 series at Lone Star Lanes in Sherman TX. He used the Break Pearl, which was drilled in the pro shop at Plano Super Bowl.

Bob Athearn of Burlington WA continues his hot streak with a Break Pearl. Bob had two 300s earlier this year and recently shot an 814 on 3/26/09.

Nick Davis of Buffaloe Lanes Cary, outside Raleigh NC, shot a 300 in his 2nd game after drilling new 900 Global equipment. Nick, a recent winner of the Chattanooga Mens Sectional for Collegiate Bowling, recently decided to take the plunge and use a 900 Global ball. Nick drilled a Creature before league last night and shot 229, followed by his 300 and finished with a 234 for a 763 series. Nick was using a 5x4 drilling layout on the ball.

Kenny Reynolds bowled a 279,300,244 for a total of 823 with the Bounty in the CABA Chattanooga, TN Bowling Association city tournament on Saturday March 28 2009. The ball was purchased and drilled by Rip the Rack Pro Shop Inc in Longwood Florida. His average for the tournament was 252, and he also had 2268 all events scratch, high for the tournament, also using the Bounty.

Fifteen year old Bode McKay, shot 279-300-233 for an 812 at the Randolph Lanes Strike Force Youth League on Sat 4 Apr 2009 in San Antonio, TX.

Mike O'Brien of Sedro-Woolley, Washington bowled his 3rd 800 series this year with Global 900 equipment.
On April 1st 2009 at Riverside Lanes in Mount Vernon, Washington, Mike had games of 236, 279 and 297 for an 812 series using the Maniac.

Jonathan Hill of Scottsdale Arizona had an 805 series with his Bounty this week and then finished off the last game of the evening with a 266 for a 1071 four game set.

Dylan Ruff rolled a 9 game total of 2128 this weekend in the Asheboro City Tournament including an 801 set in Singles to claim 1st place. Dylan, using the new Break Point, also took 1st in Team event, 2nd in doubles, and 1st in All Events.

Marc Weissman shot 804 with 30 strikes out of the box with the Creature Pearl. Marc was bowling at Linden Lanes in NJ and posted games of 259-267-278 and also pocketed $700 from a strike pot.
